I’m a tech enthusiast and a creative soul who makes sure the servers at BEST-HOSTING run smoothly every day. I’ve been taking care of our servers and our clients’ servers for over a decade, and in recent years, I’ve also been keeping our site, best-hosting.cz, in tip-top shape.

In the world of programming, I’m like a fish in water, whether it’s Python, PHP, or JavaScript. When CSS decides to act up, you’ll usually find me with a cup of coffee and a smile, trying to tame those unruly styles. When I’m not babysitting servers or hunting down sneaky bugs, I’m all about photography and video shooting. Yes, I even do it on commission. I’m living proof that you can have a serious career in server work and be into photography and videography.

If you see me with a camera, chances are I’m either trying to capture something amazing or figuring out the best angle for the perfect shot. And let’s not forget, servers never sleep!

Programming

Now, let’s get a bit technical. I’ve been in the programming game for quite a while. I started with assembly and C, but I actually began with BASIC on an ATARI and ZX Spectrum, so can we really count that as programming?

These days, I enjoy making applications in Python. I’ve done scripts that run on servers and web applications using frameworks like Flask or Quart. I’m also into PHP, especially when it comes to building websites, and I’ve worked with frameworks like ZEND and Symfony. On top of that, I dabble with CSS using the Bootstrap framework, which lets me whip up responsive designs in no time.

I probably won’t list everything I’ve worked with because, in the end, it doesn’t really matter what language you’re programming in. And honestly, I wouldn’t want to brag about that brief stint I had with FoxPro 1 on MS-DOS!

Photography and Video

I’ve been into photography for as long as I can remember. It started as a hobby, but in recent years it’s also become my side gig. I used to be a die-hard Canon fan, but now I’m fully equipped with Sony gear. I’ve got an APS-C a6600 and a full-frame a7RV, and they serve me perfectly.

Lately, I’ve been shooting videos for social media, which has been a blast. For photo editing, I’m a fan of Adobe Lightroom, but I also enjoy tinkering with Linux programs like RawTherapee. For video post-production, I use DaVinci Resolve, and I’m happy with it. I doubt I’d switch to another software. But hey, you can try!
